June 12th, a video conference on international certification was hold between USST Business School and Professor Guoji Wei, who is an expert of international certification and the vice-dean of Singapore Institute of Management. Conferee: Laijun Zhao (Dean), Wei Wang (Secretary), Yongqing Zhang (vice-dean), Zheng Zhang (vice-dean), staff of relevant departments, Dean’s assistants, staff of international construction office.
First, suggestions for AACSB recertification were proposed by Professor Wei. The issues include SA research standard, teacher development, internationalization strategy, innovation and influence of business school, etc. Second, Professor Wei gave suggestions for EQUIS international certification. Third, the issue of international cooperation project was discussed, such as the exchange programs and joint education programs for undergraduate students, graduate students and MBA students. Meanwhile, the key issues of AACSB recertification as well as improvement measures for USST Business School were discussed.
Last, Professor Laijun Zhao expressed our gratitude to Professor Wei for his guidance and advice, and invited him to visit USST Business School in the future. Our international certification work under COVID-19 environment was praised by Professor Wei. He also expressed his willingness to visit USST Business School after the virus and discuss international certification work further.
After the video conference, Business School staff discussed the issues of AACSB recertification and EQUIS international certification internally, and the work for the next step was arranged.
