Shanghai University of Technology participated in the 19th China MBA Development Forum

The 19th China MBA Development Forum, hosted by China MBA Development Forum Committee and Guilin University of Electronic Science and technology, was solemnly held in Guilin Huaxing hotel from November 29 to December 1, 2019. With the theme of “sharing digital economy and win-win future of the Silk Road”, more than 500 representatives from more than 130 universities and MBA teachers and students participated in the forum. Zhang Zheng, vice president of Business School and director of MBA program, Wang Yonglian, director of office of professional degree education center, Huang Yuying of professional degree education center, and Yan Faxiang, Lu Bing, Lin Jingchao and Yu Yang, students of grade 2019, attended the forum.

The China MBA Development Forum was launched in Tsinghua Park in the spring of 2000. It is the largest and most influential MBA group activity in China. It is also the annual grand meeting that hundreds of thousands of MBA students are looking forward to. The 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China proposed to “accelerate the deep integration of the Internet, big data, artificial intelligence and the real economy”. The new generation of information technology represented by big data and artificial intelligence is booming, and the digital economy has become a new engine of global economic growth. The forum brought together the most influential business leaders, authoritative experts and scholars, well-known investors, media elites, presidents of national business schools and representatives of outstanding MBA students in the fields of MBA education and economy. It focused on China’s economic hot spots, discussed the new situation of global economy, shared new opportunities for digital economy development, shared the new mission of innovation and entrepreneurship, and conspired for MBA New measures for high-quality education development have helped China’s economy take off.

Zhang Zheng, vice president of the Business School and director of MBA program, delivered a keynote speech at the “high quality MBA Education Forum” and was interviewed by China MBA education network reporter. He told us that Shanghai University of Technology MBA program has a long history. It is the first one in China to cooperate with MIT Sloan Business School, which is known as the earliest MBA program in China. On the basis of the MBA training target set by the state, we strive to create three major training features, including system thinking, innovation and Entrepreneurship Management and high-end medical industry. This is the first official certification of MBA in Chinese mainland. It was officially approved by AACSB international certification in May 2018. It is also the only MBA project approved by local universities. The MBA program of Shanghai Polytechnic makes use of the powerful teaching staff, connects with the national industrial development strategy, creates MBA characteristic courses with distinctive industry characteristics, constructs a “three-dimensional integration” training mode, emphasizes the unity of theoretical quality and practical ability, and cultivates compound excellent management talents with innovative thinking and international vision, which is the advanced manufacturing industry and modern industry in Shanghai and Yangtze River Delta The development of service industry provides various services.

At this forum, Zhang Zheng, vice president of the Business School and director of MBA program, won the “outstanding leadership award of China’s MBA education”, Lin Jingchao and Lu Bing, the 2019 MBA students, were respectively awarded the “new star of innovation and Entrepreneurship of China’s MBA alumni”, and Yu Yang, a 2019 MBA student, was awarded the “China MBA rookie 100”.

By participating in such large-scale activities, the social influence of the school is expanded, which is conducive to let more people understand the MBA program of Shanghai University of technology, so as to improve the quality of MBA enrollment in our university. Our school’s representatives of teachers and students interact with representatives from MBA training units across the country, share useful experience, and discuss the problems encountered in the development of MBA.
