On the afternoon of October 30th, the final contest of educational knowledge with the theme of “Don’t forget the original heart, keep the mission in mind” was held in the conference room 103 of the Advanced Manufacturing Building. Yuedong SUN, deputy party secretary of USST, Dong WEI, director of the Graduate Department, Deqiang QU, secretary of the Youth League Committee, Qin LI, deputy director of the Organization Department, Wei ZHANG, deputy director of the Propaganda Department, as well as party secretaries and deputy party secretaries of all schools attended the competition.
SUN pointed out that, in accordance with the deployment and requirements of the Party Central Committee, the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Education and Health Work Party Committee, the university’s theme education work was being carried out steadily. He affirmed the positive effect of this knowledge contest, and put forward two requirements to the student party members of the school: First, do not forget their original heart, keep their mission in mind, unify their own needs with social needs, combine personal development with social development, and link the fate of the individual and the fate of the country; Second, they should constantly strengthen their ideals and beliefs, temper political qualities, and be loyal to the party. Student party members should actively play a vanguard and exemplary role, and drive those around them to devote themselves to national construction and rejuvenation. SUN encouraged young students to make full use of their time at school, study hard, be determined to serve the country, and constantly improve their personal comprehensive quality and moral ability.
This knowledge contest was sponsored by the Office of the Theme Education Leading Group of the university and undertaken by the Party Committee of Business School (Hujiang Party Building Cloud Studio). The contest was divided into two stages: the preliminary and the final, with student party members and party activists as the main participants. The contest received a warm response from the students and attracted more than 700 student party members and party activists from all schools of the university.
