On the morning of October 29th, Professor Kwok Kee Wei, dean of the School of Continuing and Lifelong Education and the director of the AACSB International Accreditation of Business School, was invited to visit our school.The party secretary Wei WANG, vice president Chunming YE, Yongqing ZHANG, Zheng ZHANG, deputy party secretary Xiuwen YAO, each department director, administration office director Yimin SHU, and deputy director Jing XU, International Office director Weibing ZHONG, Office secretary Wei XIE, as well as some of the teachers’ representatives listened to Professor Wei’s reports and participate in the seminar.
The report focused on “Continuous Improvement Review（CIR） of AACSB” and elaborated on the concept, process, application, writing and other aspects of the CIR. Professor Wei pointed out that the CIR focused on specific strategic initiatives for continuous improvement of the school and specific improvement measures to address the issues raised by the PRT in the initial accreditation. At the same time, Professor Wei gave some suggestions on the next stage of AACSB reaccreditation.
In the question and answer session, Vice President Zheng ZHANG thanked Professor Wei for his wonderful report and careful guidance, and reported some continuous improvement of the business school, especially the achievements in the internationalization of undergraduate education after the AACSB accreditation and the future direction of our efforts. When vice President Chunming YE asked about the new requirements of CIR for scientific research, professor Wei gave the answer and pointed out that the CIR would put forward higher requirements for scientific research level and the quality of periodicals. In the end, Wei WANG affirmed the guiding role of Professor Wei’s report in the CIR and thanked professor Wei again for his visit and the wonderful theme report.
