On the afternoon of October 24th, Vice President Zhong WU gave a lecture entitled “The mission and responsibility of USST in the construction of local high-level universities” to the party members in the first meeting room of Business School. The leading group, teachers and party members listened to this party lecture. Wei WANG, the party secretary, presided over the event.
Before this lecture, WU first told the connotation of educators’ initial heart and the understanding of educational regulations, based on the significance, objectives and requirements of this thematic education.
WU hoped that everyone would set a good example in keeping the original intention and fulfilling the mission, and everyone would cultivate qualified socialist builders and successors who are morally, intellectually, physically, aesthetical. In combination with the practice of some specific cases, WU reported the process from research to implementation, such as closely integrating with the actual, in-depth front-line research, analysis through the survey data. Therefore, he could, from the ideological understanding, responsibility and implement, improve the institutional mechanisms in order to find root causes of problems, analyzes the deficiencies, thus to further consolidate the rectification of foundation.
After the lecture, Wei WANG hoped that everyone could earnestly study then understand the connotation of President Wu’s Party course, keep in mind the mission of “educating people with moral integrity”, combined with the practice of work, and make a contribution to the construction of a high-level university.
