The Business School holds the 2019 Young Teacher Teaching Competition

On the morning of October 11st, the 2019 Young Teacher Teaching Competition was organized in the sixth classroom in the Professional Degree Center, in order to further stimulate the passion of young teachers to love their jobs, update educational concepts and master modern teaching methods, and strive to create a team of high-quality with noble ethics, exquisite professionalism and full of vitality.

Zheng ZHANG, deputy dean of Business School, the teaching department heads of all departments, teacher representatives and young teachers participated in this teaching competition. The event was presided over by Yiming SHU, director of academic Affairs Office.

Before the official start of the competition, Zhang first gave a speech. He emphasized to the young teachers, signed up for the competition, that they should take “Strengthen Moral Education and Cultivate People” as the foundation, take “Youth on the Podium” as the theme, and should love their jobs and work. This teaching competition consist of two parts: teaching design and classroom teaching. The scores were evaluated using a percentile system, with the weights of 10% and 90% respectively. The young teachers submitted their teaching design before the competition, and the classroom teaching demonstrations began in order.

According to the evaluation requirements, the evaluation team scored each participating teacher from multiple perspectives such as teaching design, teaching content, teaching organization, teaching characteristics and attitude. Finally, they selected 3 first prizes, 2 second prizes and 2 third prizes. At the end of the competition, Zhang and representatives of the team members issued certificates to the winners. The entire teaching competition lasted more than four hours.

This teaching competition had set up a platform for young teachers to show their charm and exchange classroom teaching experience with the old teachers. It was of great practical significance for improving the classroom teaching level of young teachers and improving the quality of undergraduate teaching in our school.
