On the afternoon of October 9th, Shanghai Municipal Party Committee publicity Department and Shanghai Federation of Social Sciences co-sponsored a theoretical seminar on Celebration of the 70th Anniversary of the founding of The People’s Republic of China.
Huilin ZHOU, member of the Standing Committee of Shanghai Municipal Party Committee and minister of publicity Department attended the conference and made a speech. Associate Professor Xin ZHAO, a young teacher representative of our school, attended this conference and listened to Comrade Zhou’s speech. She had a warm exchange with relevant leaders, experts and scholars of other units.
Earlier, the Shanghai Federation of Social Sciences issued an announcement on the activity of soliciting essays in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. The “Order and Autonomy: Evolution of Grassroots Social Governance in Shanghai in the Past 70 years”, written by ZHAO, from the Department of Public Administration of our school, won the Excellent Paper Award of the Shanghai Municipal Association of Social Associations in celebrating the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, and was selected into the proceedings.
This award showcased the latest theoretical research results in the humanities and social sciences of the school, and achieved good results.
