On the afternoon of November 18, the School of Business held a seminar and salon on constructing the major of artificial intelligence in the conference room on the fifth floor.
The artificial intelligence salon was set up on the proposal of Zhao Laijun, the president of the school, and was specifically organized and implemented by Professor Fan Chongjun, with the aim of holding various activities related to artificial intelligence from time to time, which includes: artificial intelligence technology and application seminar, artificial intelligence professional construction seminar, artificial intelligence industry development seminar, artificial intelligence technology and management application seminar. This is also the first time artificial intelligence salon, presided over by Professor Fan Chongjun.
First of all, Zhao Laijun introduced the background and ideas of the construction of the major of artificial intelligence, as well as the school leaders’ guiding ideas for this construction specialty. Professor Fan Zhongjun then introduced the construction of major of artificial intelligence and the setting of the curriculum. Then each teacher have launched their speech in succession, Dean Zhao Laijun and Professor Ma Liang gave comments on everyone’s speech.
Dr. Wang Jiawen’s speech is about “The health diagnosis of urban road traffic and intelligent doctor system, a new model of internet + machine learning” . Professor Gan Hongcheng and Associate Professor Liu Weiwei gave some suggestions on the construction of intelligent transportation, automatic driving and the contribution of the department of artificial intelligence, especially emphasized on how to highlight the characteristics of our discipline. Professor Yang Huijie introduced the accumulated research results in some fields such as neural networks. Associate Professor Meng Fei, Associate Professor Liu Lei has introduced their respective teams to do robot-related research work and carried out the results show. Professor Ge Yuhui, associate professor He Qiang and associate professor Liu Shengmin delivered speeches on “how AI will revolutionize HR industry” , “thinking on accounting and finance from the perspective of cloud computing” and “framework of logic and analysis of enterprise management change in the era of AI” . Dr. Zhou Yiwei introduced the self-driving related achievements, and gave a lot of concrete suggestions to the artificial intelligence curriculum system. Associate Professor Liu Chen and associate professor Ni Jing spoke to emphasize the importance of logical relationships between courses. Associate Professor Duan Jiangjiao also made a statement.
Finally, Dean Zhao summed up this salon. At present, artificial intelligence salon has just run, includes a total of 51 members. Professor Gu Changgui and other 32 teachers participated in the seminar, other teachers could not attend because of class or business trip. Participating teachers have said that they have gained a lot through this exchange, the activities followed is worth looking forward to. Professor Ma Liang said: It was a tight, friendly, enthusiastic and successful salon event.
