Take history as a mirror, you can know the rise and fall. Learning history can help us face the future. On the afternoon of Oct 30th, teachers and students of the Department of Public Administration Party Branch jointly held “Four Histories” learning education special organization life meeting. The meeting invited Vice Principle Wu Zhong, the leader of the Department of Public Administration, and was presided by Teacher Zhu Shuicheng.
The Party members of the faculty in the Department of Public Administration took their respective research fields as the cut-in point and share their thoughts and understandings in combination with the “Four Histories”. Teacher Che Liping summarized the effort made by the Communist Party of China to build a high-level mechanism for the development of science and technology and to perfect a high-quality education system for all Chinese people. Teacher Han Chengpeng analyzed the situation that our country was facing a big change which hundred years never experienced form national conditions, Party conditions and world conditions. Teacher Yan Juan discussed the history and logic between the relationship of government and market after China's reform and opening-up. Teacher Cao Jin emphasized that the balancing development of urban and rural education was of the important meaning to realize the educational equity. Teacher Qi Xiang shared the history of ZheJiang Province’s reform and opening-up. Teacher Liu Xinping suggested that when we use technology, we should reflect on the appropriateness of it.
After teachers’ sharing, Student Party Members’ understanding of the history of the Party, the history of China, the history of reform and opening-up and the history of socialist development had reached a new height. They shared their learning achievements with each other. From the cognitive level, as the generation born in the material age, looking back “Four History” can help us understand the good life now is not easy. We should always remember hard times and do better in the future. Vice Principle Wu Zhong made the final remarks. He reviewed the history of overthrowing “three mountains” and establishing democratic independent country from the history of founding party and nation. In telling the history of reform and opening-up, President Wu shared the story of eating hawthorn slices with his brothers in the age of material scarcity. He taught every teachers and students party members to feel and to learn “Four Histories” from the aspects related to real life. He also suggested that we should not forget to think what we can do for school after learning “Four Histories”, truly put the plan for the welfare of the people and for the rejuvenation of the nation into practice. The speech made by Principle Wu was thought-provoking and brought the meeting to a successful conclusion.
