On the morning of December 22, 2020, The super-network research salon of the series of activities of Hujiang Economic Management Forum (the second issue)-----the International Symposium on the 10th anniversary of Center for Supernetworks Research(CSuRe) (China) was held in the conference room 1010 of the Business School of the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology(USSTBS). Junedong (Dong Qiong), director of CSuRe and a professor at the School of Business of the State University of New York at Oswego and a Distinguished Professor of Orientalist in Shanghai, and Fan Bingquan, a former subject head of Department of Transportation Systems Engineering at the USSTBS and a senior consultant at CSuRe, He Jianjia, associate dean of the USSTBS and representatives from CSuRe and several young teachers and students attended the salon. CSuRe executive vice director Gan Hongcheng presided over the event.
On behalf of the college, associate dean, He Jianjia first congratulated CSuRe on its 10th anniversary, and briefly reviewed the development course and achievements of CSuRe. He pointed out that the relationship between the USSTBS and CSuRe is mutually beneficial and win-win, the development of CSuRe has played an active role in the development of the discipline of the School of Management, and it is expected that CSuRe will have better development in the future with the help of the platform of Hujiang Economic Management Forum.
Then, professor Dong Qiong introduced the concept and connotation of super-network to teachers and students and shared the international advanced research results of super-network research and its important applications in society, From the establishment background, personnel, activities, characteristics of research areas, highlights, personnel training, etc., professor Gan Hongcheng reviewed in detail the development process of CSuRe under the guidance of famous domestic management experts, professor Xu Fuyuan, academician Wang Yingluo of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Zhou Yupeng former Vice Mayor of Shanghai and the support of schools and colleges, and benchmark the international top academic research center, sharing their thinking about the future development. Zhang Guang, Li Wenxiang, Chen Yanting, Zhou Yiwei, and other young teachers introduced their research direction, research results and combined with their own research to share their views on the super-network theory, zhu Xiaodong and other key members of CSuRe reported recent years research with the theory of super-network.
At the end of the meeting, professor Dong Qiong, Professor Fan Bingquan, and associate dean He Jianjia summarized the activities respectively. Professor Dong Qiong extended a warm welcome to the new members and spoke highly of the learning and research achievements of the new teachers, and put forward concrete suggestions for the further development of CSuRe. Professor Fan Bingquan elaborated on the nature and academic value of the study of super-network and stressed the importance of using the behavioral perspective to study the network and the intersection of multiple disciplines, highly affirmed the outstanding achievements of CSuRe in recent years and the international advanced characteristic research results. He pointed out that the addition of young teachers has injected new vitality into CSuRe and was full of hope for the future development of the research center. As a member of CSuRe, He Jianjia, associate dean, reported on relevant research in the field of supply and demand network in recent years, stressed the importance of cooperation, taking into account the development of the college, he encouraged teachers to make use of the platform of the hujiang Economic Management Forum of the USSTBS, through lectures, salons, and other forms, linking subjects, sharing resource, combining academic research with social needs, truly implement the central committee’s proposal of “writing papers on the land of the motherland and applying scientific and technological achievements in the great cause of realizing modernization”, promote the development of the connotation and characteristics of the scientific research of the USSTBS, and promote the cultivation of the scientific research brand, to further enhance the social influence of colleges and teachers.
