The Business School held a Symposium for Faculty with Overseas Degrees

June 30 at 11:00, the Symposium for Faculty with Overseas Degrees of Business School was held in the Conference Room 506 of the Business School. All members of the School Leadership Team, Zhou Huijun, Qian Ying, Chen Yanting, Zhou Yiwei, Lu Zhi, Xiao Yuewen, Min Min, Li Bing, Zhang Guang and Yu Byungjun, the new faculty members with overseas degrees, and Li Ying, Director of General Office, Zhu Kai, Personnel Secretary attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Dean Zhao Laijun.

Dean Zhao first introduced the current situation of bring in talents in our school and the talent introduction plan during the 14th Five-Year Plan. He pointed out that both the school and university attach great importance to the introduction of talents, especially the high-level talents. Dean Zhao hoped that all the faculty members with a background of studying abroad could provide suggestions for the introduction and exchange of talents of the school based on the current international situation and the domestic demand for talents. Wang Wei, General Secretary, sincerely welcomes all young talents to join the school and hopes that all participants may work together to contribute to the school’s talent introduction and fulfill the goal of becoming a world-class elite business school.

The participants expressed their opinions in terms of talent introduction channels, academic atmosphere, talent treatment, and service management based on their own experiences. They suggested that both the school and university should expand its influence and popularity and set up a special talent introduction team to achieve this purpose. Besides, the talents should be considered from multiple dimensions, and the introduction should also be eclectic.

Deputy Deans He Jianjia, Zhang Zheng and Zhang Yongqing, and Deputy General Secretary Pu Yingying made speeches in terms of internationalization and external promotion, the selection and compilation of English textbooks for undergraduate teachings, improving the quality of postgraduate training and high-level publications, and teaching management and student employment, respectively. All members of the School Leadership Team hope that the faculty with overseas academic qualifications can give full play to their own advantages and promote the school's internationalization, teaching, scientific research and other aspects to a higher level.
