On the afternoon July 13, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Business School University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST) with Shanghai SEARI Intelligent System Co., Ltd (SEISYS) in the 5th-floor meeting room of the company. This move is to actualize the strategy of building a power country through strengthened transportation system, and to cultivate competent postgraduates enrolled in Professional Master Degree majoring in transportation.
As appointed by professor Zhao Laijun, dean of the Business School, professor Zhang Yongqing, vice dean, and Mr. Chen Feng, the chief engineer of SEISYS, signed the agreement. Professor Han Yin, the discipline leader of department of transportation engineering, associate professor Yao Jao, associate professor Ma Xiaodan and Dr. Xia Xiaomei were present on the ceremony. Chief engineer Chen Feng showed professor Zhang around the exhibition hall to see company’s achievements. Then Ms Wang Xuexue, the representative of school alumni, and master-degree holder Ms Tang Jiajia shared their work experience with school delegation. An in-depth discussion was arranged on issues of the cultivation of professional talents and business demand between school delegation and chiefs of offices of tunnel business, big date business, operation and maintenance business, and public transport business.
As per the agreement, Business School and SEISYS will construct the cooperation framework by integrating education resource of Business School and research and development platform of the company. Through cooperations in areas of basic research, technology innovation, achievements translation, academic exchanges etc., USST will improve the professional standard for students in transportation. Likewise, SEISYS can promote their innovation in technology, academic communication and competency of its employees.
Professor Zhang Yongqing, vice dean of the The Business School, remarked on the ceremony. The industry-university cooperation could promote the cultivation of inter-disciplinary talents and standard of graduates from professional master’s degree and high-quality employment. All these results are being pursuit by the Business School. Our school will keep up efforts to promote the bilateral cooperation and connect disciplines of school with SEISYS. The school will promote all-round cooperation between two sides in professional talent training, research cooperation, technology translation and innovation, practical education.

USST has provided with high-caliber graduates for years. The signing of the agreement further integrates the resources of both sides and deepens the existing cooperation.
