In the golden season of autumn and the air full of osmanthus fragrance, the celebration of the 115th anniversary of the USST and the 15 years achievements of the USST-BS was held in the first meeting room of Block A of the USST-BS building on the afternoon of October 30. The Deputy Party Secretary, deputy president of USST SHENG Chun attended, representatives of cooperative enterprises of the USST-BS, alumni directors and alumni representatives of the USST-BS, members of the School Construction Advisory Committee, retired faculties, representatives of elder leaders, leaders of various offices of the USST-BS, leaders of sister schools, all party member and government management team of the USST-BS, and representatives of faculties and students participated in the celebration . The event was presided by WANG Wei, Secretary of the Party Committee of the USST-BS.
On behalf of all faculties and students of the USST-BS, Mrs. WANG Wei first expressed his warm welcome to everyone, and her heartfelt thanks to all alumni for their active participation and selfless help.
Then, Dean ZHAO Laijun gave a speech titled Fifteen Years of Developments, Start a New Chapter in Small Paces-A Review and Prospect of the 15th Anniversary of the Founding of the New Business School, a comprehensive and detailed introduction to the past achievements and future prospects of the USST-BS in four aspects including Tracing Source, Looking Back, Current Situation, Prospect. Dean Zhao pointed out that the school’s achievements today are inseparable from the hard work and selfless dedication of generations of leaders and all faculties and students, as well as the strong support of alumni. We are looking forward to creating a new chapter in the development of the school as well as to strive for the goal of growing the school into a world-class elite business school as soon as possible.
The development of the school relies on the strong support from alumni. The outstanding alumni, vice chairman of the school alumni society, and party secretary and chairman of Shanghai Union Investment Co., Ltd., Mr. QIN Jian, delivered a speech on behalf of the alumni. First, on behalf of the alumni of the USST-BS all over the country, he expressed his sincere tribute to the 115th anniversary of his alma mater, and his warmest congratulations to the fruitful achievements of the USST-BS in the past 15 years. He expressed the heartfelt blessings to the respectable faculties, dear alumni and students! He pointed out that the development and progress of his alma mater requires not only the continuous efforts of the faculties and students, but also the strong support of all alumni. He hoped that all alumni will continue to care for, support, and promote the development and construction of their alma mater, work together and forge ahead with the school, offer advice and suggestions for the development of the alma mater in inheritance and innovation, and contribute to the advancement of the college’s various undertakings in collaboration.
The development of the school is dependent on the support and assistance from various communities and professons. Zhou Qinghui, chairman of Shanghai Manheng Digital Technology Co., Ltd., delivered a speech as a representative of the cooperative unit. ZHOU Qinghui said that Manheng has a good relation and has cooperated with the USST-BS for a long time. The school has provided high-quality talents and intellectual assistance to the company. At present, Manheng and the USST-BS together have made great progress in the construction of industrial school and emergency management laboratories. Afterwards, we will deepen school-enterprise cooperation to achieve win-win outcome at the platform of school-enterprise cooperation. Two sides will enter the new phase of development hand-in-hand.
The development of the school is also dependent on entrepreneurial funds, education funds, and alumni funds established by alumni and entrepreneurs. LI Shiping, president assistant of Zhongbo Education, director of the East China University-Affiliated Enterprise, GAN Yi, dean of the Undergraduate School USST, and director of the Student Affairs Office, presented prize to the winners of Undergraduate Study Style , the winners of the Outstanding Study Style of Model Dormitory, the winners of the Outstanding Study Style Demonstration Union, the excellent instructor of the Study Style Building, and the excellent bachelor advisor and faculties who have contributed significantly to the undergraduate education; NIE Jianhui, donation representative of Industry 931 Alumni Fund, and LIU Wei, secretary of the Youth League Committee USST, together presented awards to the two students, XING Gege and HE Yunong; the head of the Graduate Affairs Office, PENG Zongxiang, presented prize to the award-winning student team of the Huxing Cup, an E-commerce Enterprise Research Contest, supported by the Huxing Fund, and Prof. YANG Jianzheng from the USST presented the awards to the outstanding instructors.

They were WANG Yingluo, CHE Hongan, XU Fuyuan, FAN Bingquan, QIAN Shengsan, WANG Hengshan, YANG JianZheng, SUN Shaorong, GU Baoyan and TAO Tian, in recognition of their spirit of hard work, and dedication to education. GU Baoyan, the representative of the Outstanding Contribution award winners, first reviewed the history of the school. He pointed out that the school has made outstanding achievements in discipline development, student training, and international cooperation. These achievements are attributable to the efforts of generations of seniors, faculties, students, and alumni. After the activity, the school showed the alumni around the historical sites of house of Martyr LIU Zhan'en.
