On December 14th, the launch meeting of megacities tranportation system engineering innovation team of Management Science and Engineering of the Business School(BS) was held in Conference Room 810, Block A of Economic & Management Building. The transportation engineering discipline of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology(USST) was built in 1983, which is an important development direction for our university to build a high-level university. The Transportation System Engineering team of BS-USST is one of the first teams to carry out transportation-related research by combining system sciences, management science and engineering, computer science and transportation engineering. The megacities transportation system engineering innovation team will be committed to solve the complex scientific problems such as transportation system planning, design, management and optimization, improve the large urban integration of transportation system, focus on the intelligent transportation system planning and management, hybrid transportation system design and control, green transportation system safety and environment, and other directions of research.

First of all, Professor Zhao Jing introduced the team research plan and fund allocation plan, and put forward the team's development goals in academic, teaching, scientific research projects, team construction, science and technology innovation center construction, platform construction, transformation of scientific and technological achievements, international organization tenure, education and teaching reform and other aspects. The team members shared their experience in project application, education and teaching, and discussed the related pain points and difficulties. Finally, Professor Han Yin, the academic leader of transportation engineering, put forward relevant requirements for promoting the scientific and reasonable team research work and establishing a benign cooperation research mechanism.
The meeting provided scientific and effective guidance for the team members to carry out the follow-up work, improved the team cohesion, and laid a foundation for the sustainable development of the innovation team.
