Our School’s Students Achieved Remarkable Results in the 19th National Competition of Transport Science and Technology for Students

The final of the 19th National Competition of Transport Science and Technology for Students was held on May 25-26 at Chang'an University. Two teams from the Business School, guided by Li Wenxiang, Dong Jieshuang, and Liu Weiwei, along with one team from the School of Mechanical Engineering, under the guidance of Liu Zhe and Gao Dawei, achieved remarkable results. They won one national second prize and two third prizes.

The National Competition of Transport Science and Technology for Students is the largest and most influential national science and technology competition in the field of transportation in China. It is also recognized by our university as an A-level discipline competition included in the China Association of Higher Education competition evaluation. The competition aims to promote technological innovation and development in the transportation field. The theme of the 19th competition was High-Quality Development, Innovation Wins the Future. It was organized by the China Communications and Transportation Association (CCTA) and theChina Institute of Communications Education (CICE), and hosted by Chang'an University, the CCTA Higher Education Professional Committee, and the Deans Branch in CICE. This year, a total of 1,186 projects from 159 universities across the country were submitted, covering various aspects of the transportation field. After evaluation and recommendation by the participating schools and national preliminary double-blind reviews, 242 projects from 97 universities successfully advanced to the finals, with an entry rate of only 20%.

From March 28 to April 15, the Business School organized the 19th National Competition of Transport Science and Technology for Students-USST Internal Competition. After preliminary evaluations, 8 groups from different tracks were recommended to participate in the national preliminary round competition. After the national review, 3 teams from our university stood out and advanced to the national finals. During the finals, under the guidance of our teachers, the participating teams excellently completed their presentations. 

The outstanding results achieved in this competition result from the significant time and effort invested by all participating students and tutors. They also benefit from the strong support and material guarantee provided by the Business School, the School of Mechanical Engineering, and the Innovation and Entrepreneurship School of USST. It fully reflects our university's high emphasis on cultivating innovative talents and the excellent outcomes.
