Recently, the winners of the 6th Shanghai Education Contest for Young Teachers were announced. Wang Yaopeng from the Department of Finance at USSTBS won the Third Prize.

The 6th Shanghai Education Contest for Young Teachers was co-organized by the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee for Education and Health Affairs, the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, and the Shanghai Federation of Trade Unions. This competition featured 269 outstanding young teachers under the age of 40 from various universities, including Fudan University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

USSTBS attached great importance to the Education Contest for Young Teachers and invited Professor Li Zhengming, the academic supervisor, to serve as the competition mentor and provide comprehensive guidance to Wang Yaopeng in areas such as teaching materials preparation, course design, time control and teaching etiquette. Wang sacrificed his holidays to diligently prepare for the competition. He polished his teaching script more than 10 times based on experts' feedback. Considering the professionalism of the course Corporate Finance, Wang Yaopeng integrated the complex financial knowledge into real-life scenarios to captivate students' interest. This approach facilitated a deeper understanding of the course content, emphasizing the teaching principle of being both interesting and thoughtful.

The Department of Finance built a competition preparation team consisting of relevant professional faculty members. They held several seminars to discuss the competition's teaching content, search for useful teaching cases, and provide support to Wang Yaopeng.

The Business School will take this Education Contest for Young Teachers as an opportunity to showcase its commitment to moral education. The School will further contribute to talent cultivation for long-term sustainable development of the world.
