Faculty of Business School Participated in the 28th International Conference of Hong Kong Society for Transportation Studies

The 28th International Conference of Hong Kong Society for Transportation Studies (HKSTS) was held in Hong Kong from December 9 to 10. The conference was jointly organized by HKSTS and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), with the theme of ‘Innovation in Transportation Technology and Services’, which aims to promote the understanding, realization and imagination of the future transportation through the synergy of both technology and services.Zhang Cheng, a faculty representative of our school, attended the conference.

At the meeting, Zhang presented a report entitled ‘Traffic Origin-Destination Matrices Prediction with Consideration of Travel Frequency’, and introduce this O-D Matrices Prediction method in detail. After the report, he exchanged ideas with experts and scholars at home and abroad.

On December 11, Zhang was invited to participate in the Post HKSTS Conference Workshop 2024, with the theme of ‘AI Powered Smart Transportation Operation and Infrastructure’.

Through this conference, our faculty members learnt from the experiences and insights shared by the experts and scholars, and understood the problems and challenges related to transport in the development of smart cities, as well as the relevant cutting-edge research results in the field of transport.
