On the morning of December 23, a delegation from School of Business, Guangxi University(GXU) led by Wei Tie, dean assistant of the School visited USST. Wang Bo, dean assistant and director of International Certification Office, and other faculty member from GXU visited the Business School. Liu Weiwei, dean assistant for internationalization of the School, and all members of the Internationalization Construction Office attended the exchange conference.
Liu Weiwei warmly welcomed the GXU delegation. He introduced the Business School’s history, organizational structure, faculty team, and discipline construction achievements. Focusing on the development of Internationalization, he introduced the talent cultivation, scientific research, think-tank construction, etc. He said that the international accreditation expands the influence of the Business School at home and abroad, and is of great importance for the expansion of international cooperation and the signing of international projects.
Xie Wei, Secretary of the Internationalization Office, introduced the AACSB accreditation of the Business school, including the accreditation process, principles and standards. She also shared the School’s experience and practice in matching accreditation standards.
Wei Tie expressed his gratitude for the reception of the School. He briefly introduced the history, organization, and the “Double-First Class” Construction of Guangxi University. And also, he elaborated in detail the development of the school of business, its organizational structure, discipline construction, specialty setting, talent cultivation, as well as the achievements of the School in recent years, including faculty recruitment, the National Natural Science Foundation and the National Social Science Foundation projects.
Wang Bo mainly introduced the international accreditation in the School of Business, such as the progress of AACSB accreditation, the Five-Star Rating International Accreditation from the globally recognized certification authority Quacquarelli Symonds(QS), and other achievements in the internationalization construction.
At the conference, both sides exchanged ideas on the whole process management, Assurance of Learning, Initial Self-Evaluation Report of AACSB accreditation, as well as internationalization construction. They all agreed that AACSB accreditation is an important opportunity for the continuous improvement and innovative development of the School, which is of great significance for improving the quality of education and teaching, enhancing the international influence, as well as promoting the internationalization construction.
